Pirate Party

This weekend was Connor and Julia's family birthday party. After all the stress I put on myself trying to get it ready I was glad to see how good it turned out. It was so great to have all of our family there and see how many people love and care about our kids. The kids were great. I was a bit worried that there was going to be alot of crying going on. They didn't take much of a nap before hand. Julia put on her happy face, Connor just wanted to eat the cake and Maria did really well too. She was excited because Grandma Sherri, Grandma Theresa and Aunt Chrystal all gave her a special present so she would not feel left out.  Well, we all squeezed in and had a good lunch, had some of Grandma Sherri's yummy cake and opened presents.  Connor was very excited about opening presents, he was a little bummed the week before when Julia opened hers.  After opening presents we tried to get the kids to give everyone hugs and tell them Thank you. They are still a bit little and don't understand  why they need to say thank you. We will definitely be working on that for the future :) Uncle Brook was a good sport again and held on the the pirate pinata. It was a little scary in such a small space but alot of fun. The kids loved it! Great idea Aunt Chrystal. Next Wes got out the xbox and we watched everyone play the sports game. It was great.  It turned out to be such a great day. Thanks everyone! We almost have two birthdays out of the way and only three more to go in the next few months.  Sunday we will celebrate the birth of Connor. Its hard to believe he is going to be three already. We are going to spend the morning going to church (mass is going to be said in his honor. He will think that is so cool!) and then out to eat breakfast with all the gang as usual.  It should be a fun relaxing day.
